Moya Aero and Helisul Aviation have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to purchase 50 Moya eVTOL.

São José dos Campos, April 25, 2023

Moya Aero eVTOL maker, and Helisul Aviation, have announced a strategic partnership to develop logistical operations with high-capacity RPAS (remotely piloted aircraft). At the opportunity, they signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to purchase 50 Moya eVTOL.

The Moya eVTOL is an autonomous cargo drone, all-electric, with a payload capacity of 200 kg and a range of 110 kilometers. Being electric allows the cargo drone to operate with zero emissions. In addition, Moya's design brings efficiency gains. Helisul Drones, the group's remotely piloted aircraft division, will perform these 50 eVTOLs.

Helisul is an aviation company that has been operating in Brazil for half a century and today has one of the largest helicopter fleets in Latin America, with over 50 aircraft. Helisul Drones operates in highly specialized operations segments, which require sophisticated equipment and highly qualified personnel.

"We believe the Moya eVTOL will revolutionize freight transportation with greater agility and productivity. Moya's high load capacity and flight range are perfect for this type of mission. Not to mention that it is a clean flight, with zero carbon emissions," said Humberto Biesuz, Helisul's Executive Superintendent.

"We designed the Moya eVTOL to meet a wide spectrum of logistics and agriculture uses. We aim to offer efficient cargo transportation with better economics and sustainable operation. It is the first vehicle developed in Latin America and a new means of logistics transportation," said Alexandre Zaramela, CEO of Moya Aero.

Moya's prototype will fly by the end of 2023. The first Moya eVTOL is expected to enter into service by the end of 2025.

"The Moya eVTOL perfectly complements our drone fleet strategy, operating at a unique payload and range level. In addition, we are development partners, collaborating from the operator's point of view," said Lucas Fontoura, Head of the UAS Division at Helisul Drones.

About Moya Aero

Moya Aero, founded in 2020 by Alexandre Zaramela and Renata Paolillo, is a spin-off of ACS Aviation, Brazil's leading aeronautical engineering, research, and aircraft development entity in the heart of Latin America's industrial corridor, São José dos Campos. This extraordinary experience is behind the Moya eVTOL, the first high-capacity, all-electric, and autonomous vehicle built in the Southern Hemisphere.
Our collective experience covers a broad spectrum of aerospace. We draw on that knowledge to capitalize on market opportunities with aerial vehicle concepts that address many age-old logistics problems, like reducing CO₂ emissions to ZERO, connecting remote regions with vital supplies, improving the efficiency, productivity, and cost of crop management, and connecting business with customers faster, cheaper, and simpler.

Our ideas are creative. Our products are transformative.
